June's 10 on 10

I kind of forgot as the day went on. So I only have 7 out of 10. But for my first time, I'd say I did pretty good. :)

10 am: I was taking my morning meds.

11 am: I was checking email and writing an important email in return.

12 Noon: Picking Emma and Ian up from Kindergarten.

1 pm: Quiet time, with Emma and Ian watching a Barbie Movie in the basement.

2 pm: Making a Potato Salad for our grill party in the evening.

3 pm: Dropping off Spencer and Ian for Soccer Practice.

5 pm: Picking up Spencer and Ian from Soccer Practice and Emma from a friends house.

A Few Scrap Projects

This past weekend was Scrap Freak's One Year Birthday Bash. It was a lot of fun and Team Freak did an awesome job of having some great challenges and games for us. I even won Scattergories. Staying up until 4:3oam to play those games really paid off. I can't wait to see what my prize is. :D

Amy, from Team Freak, asked if she could use one of my card sketches during the Birthday Bash. It was fun to see which one she chose. Thanks Amy for thinking of me.

Anyway, I didn't get to participate as much as I usually do or even as much as I wanted to. Hannah had her Slumber Birthday Party Friday Night and I have been exhausted as well. But here is what I did accomplish!

I sat down at my scrap table this weekend for the first time in almost a month. Here are four cards I made for the February Freaky Friday Card Challenges over at Scrap Freak.

Photo A Day--January 28 - 30

Here are my pictures from the last 3 days!

Monday, January 28:
Took pictures of layouts I had done previously. So, not a new layout, just a new picture.

Tuesday, January 29
Shantal at her Dance Concert. It turned out so dark. Any advice on how to avoid this? And what about fixing it? I have Photoshop but don't know really how to use it yet.

Wednesday January 30
The boys were in the shower and I just couldn't help snapping this picture. They love being together. Spencer is a great big brother to Ian.

I spiked Ian's hair after the shower and had to get a picture of it. It was too funny!

Two New Cards

Here are two new cards I made tonight for the Freaky Friday Card Challenges over at Scrap Freak.

The first card I had to use something sparkly. And since my stickles had not arrived yet, I used some Heidi Swapp Bling. I also used Crackle Paint and Thickers on this card. It was my first time using any of the three products. I can't wait to use them on a layout.

The second card I really love. I had to use the color red. And I really love the color combo: Red, Black and White.

Photo A Day--January 27

Caught the kids and Gardner playing Twister tonight. Hannah got this game at McDonald's this weekend. Hannah was telling me not to take a picture of her butt. Although, I couldn't help take pictures. They were having such a great time.

Photo A Day--January 26

Shantal was giving the two smaller kids piggy back rides before bed.

Photo A Day--January 24

Hannah and Ian both were wearing the kids backpacks from school. They have to have certain types of backpacks here in Germany and they are big and bulky and heavy. Look how big they are on Ian. Luckily, his backpack was totally empty. Backpacks here are called "tonister".

Photo A Day--January 23

Yet another fine thing I tried this week. It is a apple pocket or something like that. It has diced apples inside and it was yummy. Not as good as the "mini schnecken" the other day, but still something to hinder my losing weight saga.

Photo A Day--January 22

I think this is my newest addiction to helping me not lose weight during the month of January. These are called Rosinenschnekes. Basically translated to Raisin Snails. But really, they are like cinnamon rolls, without the cinnamon. They are so tasty, sweet and yummy!

Photo A Day--January 21

One of the challenges over at Scrap Freak was to take a picture of letters. I have a plague that has the letters FAMILY. And across those letters is the phrase, those we live with, laugh with, love.

Photo A Day--January 19

Every Saturday Morning, I like to make breakfast for the family . So today, I made waffles. The kids love them.

Photo A Day--January 17

The kids took Showers tonight and I got some good shots of them playing inside the shower. But not for the internet. So here are some after shots for ya.

Blog Challenge: Song

So the blog challenge for this week over at Scrap Freak was to tell about a special song that I have with a special someone. The only person I have a special song with is my husband. We watched the Movie, Pure Country before we got married in 1993. And we both fell in love with this song and ever since, it has become "our song".

I Cross My Heart
By: George Straight

Our love is unconditional
We knew it from the start
I can see it in your eyes
You can feel it from my heart
from here on after
Lets stay the way we are right now
And share all the love and laughter
That a lifetime will allow

Chorus:
I cross my heart
And promise to
Give all Ive got to give
To make all your dreams come true
In all the world
Youll never find
A love as true as mine

You will always be the miracle
That makes my life complete
And as long as theres still breath in me
Ill make yours just as sweet
As we look into the future
Its as far as we can see
So lets make each tomorrow
Be the best that it can be

Chorus

And if along the way we find a day
It starts to storm
Youve got the promise of my love
To keep you warm

Chorus

Blog Challenge: Firsts

Photo A Day--January 16

I speak a lot about the homework battle that I have every day. Here is a picture of Spencer and Shantal doing their homework today. Not a very good picture. I will have to try again tomorrow.

Photo A Day--January 15

Emma's smile is so contagious. She was loving her braids yesterday and when I said, "Let me take your picture, she was all smiles and giggles. "

All she wanted was to give him a kiss. But he didn't want her to.

Photo A Day--January 14

These are some Magnets that I altered. I put paper around them and then put rub ons, flowers, chipboard, ribbon, ect on them.

I decided I need a lot of practice taking these kind of pictures. I usually take them at night as soon as I am done with the scrap project I am working on. And the flash kept bouncing on the magnets and ruining the picture. I have to figure out how to avoid that.

Here is my photo today. Don't know what I actually think about it. But I took it all by myself.

My Newest Digi Layout

This is Hannah's first day of school here in Germany. In Germany, the kids start school when they are 6 years old and start with the 1st grade. It is a huge deal and they have an "Einschulung" before their real first class day. It is a day to introduce them to the school.

I am in the process of making a few more pages with all the pictures I have from that day and then will be doing a page of just journaling to go with it. So you can learn more about this day when I get the journaling done.
